Welcome to the Heartland Ventures intern program!  We are very happy to provide you with a working educational experience.  We hope to advance your knowledge in the following areas during your stay (depending on the length of your stay):

Horsemanship – You will have the opportunity to assist with or attend classes or group lessons each month (1 or 2 sessions per day, 3 days a week – total of 24 sessions per month).  Class options will be available according to your current level of savvy.  You will also have the opportunity to audit the many classes and private lessons (depending on your schedule and the permission of the students).  You may also be given the opportunity to play with other horses during your stay (Level 3 graduates only). 

Facility Management – Learn barn management and what it takes to keep a facility running smoothly, including horse care & feeding, stall management, and arena and grounds maintenance, plus much more.

Education – Observe the teaching and horse training style & savvy of a Licensed Parelli Professional.  Assist students in classes (dependent upon level of savvy).

Technical – Learn about website management & advertising

Administrative – Event management – help organize play days, clinics and classes.

What is provided?  Everything but Meals

·       Board for one horse (additional horses will be extra $250/ month)

·      A shared room for you or an RV hookup with access to showers/ bathrooms.

·      Weekly lessons (Some of these lessons will be provided in a group setting between 9-4 weekdays).

·      Access to all auditing that you can handle of private and group lessons and classes.

·      Play time with your horse and other Parelli buddies!

What do you do in trade?

·      Help with the care and upkeep of the facility and between 50 and 100 horses.

·      35-40 hours of work per week with a team of motivated Parelli students.

·      Agree to a minimum commitment of 2 weeks (currently there is no maximum).
